A young couple, who had just returned from abroad, bought their first flat in Taipei City. Although it is 4.2m high, the actual floor area is not large. But we still try to have full function in this unit. The solution is to overlap all different function area and attached small space to the full high living room. So user won't feel the pressure of a high ceiling.

Below the high rising white brick wall is a living room and a small dinning room next to the open kitchen, further is a study room that can turn into a guest room. Along the stairs up to half height is a dressing room, while underneath is the storage and shoe cabinet. On second floor, there are a master bedroom, a bathroom, and a platform as a seating area, which may expand into a nursery room in the future. In this project, the designers transformed a small space into a high quality lifestyle apartment.
