In this project, the ceiling height for making a mezzanine is insufficient. So we decided to suggest the client to keep one floor height, but in certain area to have mezzanine only for storage use. However, the half-high loft with staircase increases the usability of the full-height bookshelf wall and storage on mezzanine, it also creates more interest in the space. The lower level custom-made wall lamps create a lovely residential environment, and make it easier for client to replace lamps. The pure colour and simple material, which makes the project more stylish, are based on the client's personality, favoring a strong contrast.
